Stars sign on for Ray Charles tribute
Stevie Wonder, Usher, Norah Jones among those performing

NEW YORK - Stevie Wonder, Usher and Norah Jones are among the artists who will celebrate Ray Charles at an October tribute concert that will be taped for later broadcast on CBS.

"Genius: A Night for Ray Charles" will take place Oct. 8 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. At deadline, an airdate had not yet been confirmed for the planned one-hour special.

Other confirmed performers include Elton John, B.B. King, Al Green, Reba McEntire, Mary J. Blige, Kenny Chesney, Billy Preston and David "Fathead" Newman. Quincy Jones, Mos Def and Bruce Willis are also set to take part as presenters.

The show will be hosted by Jamie Foxx, who stars as Charles in Universal Pictures' biopic "Ray," due Oct. 29 in U.S. theaters.

Tickets to the event range from $45 to $75 and are on sale via Ticketmaster.
